About BRENU!

We seek to enhance food and nutrition security, increase household incomes and improve maternal and child nutrition and health in Northern Uganda (NU) by promoting diversified food production of resilient varieties, commercializing agriculture, encouraging family planning for improved and sustainable livelihoods as well as improving household resilience to climate change and women and youth empowerment. 

Areas of Focus

The goal is to consolidate stability in Northern Uganda, eradicate poverty and under-nutrition and strengthen the foundations for sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development.

 

Value Chains/Enterprises

For commercialization, cassava, rice, soybean and for food, nutrition and small scale income; orange flesh sweet potatoes (OFSP), green leafy vegetables, fruits, poultry, high-iron beans, yellow maize, and ground nuts.

Where We Are

Take a look at where we have based our operations.

The project focuses on more than 51,250 farming households to be implemented in more than 7 districts in Northern Uganda focusing on more than 51,250 farming households.

The action targets two sub regions in Northern Uganda (NU) namely, Lango and Teso sub regions. In Lango the action focuses on five districts i.e. Dokolo, Amolatar, Apac, Otuke and Kwania, while in Teso the target districts are two i.e. Amuria and Kapelebyong, making a total of 7 target districts.
